Peter Tlowana

Madimetja Peter Tlowana was born on 17 February 1957. He matriculated from Lebowakgomo High School in 1982. He obtained a BA Degree in Management Sciences from the University of the North in 1996; he also graduated a Masters Degree in Public Administration (MPA) with the University of Limpopo in 2009.
He commenced on his career in 1983 as Clerk Grade II for the Department of Agriculture of the Lebowa Government. In 1984 he was transferred to Administration Clerk and the following year he was transferred to Head Office Personnel Section. In 1993 he was promoted to Chief Personnel Officer and was later transferred to the Western Region of Limpopo to establish and manage the Personnel Section. In 1997 Mr Tlowana was transferred to the rank of Senior Personnel Practitioner and transferred to the Southern Region to act as Personnel Head. In 1998 he was appointed as Assistant Director: Administration in the Southern Region (Lebowakgomo) of the Department of Agriculture of Limpopo where he serves as Chairperson and member of numerous committees. He was transferred to Deputy Manager Transformation during March 2006 in the same Department. He was appointed to the post of Deputy Director: Human Resource Management during October 2008 and work as a Shared Centre Manager for the former Sekhukhune district which comprised of five Municipalities. The shared centre has a total of 534 personnel.
