Cedric Vuyo Dyantyi was born on 11 November 1966 in Colesberg. He matriculated in 1987 at Inyathi in Thornhill in the Eastern Cape.  He obtained a Primary Teachers Diploma in 1990 at Kagisanong College, a BA Degree in 1998, a BED Degree in 2000 and a Masters Degree in Education in 2003 at Vista University. In 2009 he obtained his Doctorate in Technologiae at the Central University of Technology.
 

His career in the Public Service began in 1990 when he joined the Department of Education as an Educator. In 2007 he was promoted to Senior Educator.
 

He also serves on the Soccer Committee and is a member of the Research Committee in Higher Education as well as the Police Forum and school governing body.
 

He has been a member of the PSA since 2003 and is the Chairperson of the Sectoral Branch Free State: ELRC since 2004.

 

Dr Dyantyi is actively involved in recruitment and hearings.
