Vice-Chairperson

Jurie Joshua Saal was born on 15 January 1960.  He matriculated at the S A van Wyk Secondary School, Springbok in 1977.  He obtained a BA Degree in 1980 and a BA Honours Degree (Linguistics) the following year from the University of the Western Cape.

Prior to his appointment as Director:  Human Recources of Boland College, Stellenbosch in 2004, Mr Saal, amongst others, served for the priod 1981 to 1991 as Junior Lecturer at University of the Western Cape, teacher and Administrative Officer at the House of Representatives (now named as Western Cape Education Department).  From 1992 to 1999 he served as Registrar of the Söhnge College of Education.

During 1992 and 1993 he was Secretary and thereafter Chairperson of the PSA’s Regional Branch Boland (Worcester) up to the dissolution of the Branch in March 2004.  Under his Chairmanship the Branch won the Board of Director’s Trophy for Best Branch three times.  He has been a member of the PSA’s Board of Directors since 1996.
